Hi Guys, back with me again. Since the past few months, I just started reading the book Grit by Angela Duckworth. There is a lot of important aspect for success in this world by people, one of the most common things people imagine is talent. Talent is very powerful and almost everyone believes in talent existence, the thing is what is talent? And how people grow talent. Most people stop at this point and agree that talent is hereditary since you are born, or you found it along the road of living.

Angela Duckworth didn’t stop at this point, she shows her grittiness by keep researching about this. About talent and the real factor what makes people succeed. The result of her research is about effort count 2 times for achievements.

Yes, people do need the talent to start, but without efforts, talent won’t grow into skill. Even after we have the skills we needed more effort again to grow this skill unto achievements. This is shown in the following formulae:

Angela Duckworth Talent Formulae

The most important part in showing this effort is about grit. About perseverance over long time goal, about how you never give up and keep pushing to reach the goals. To not give up is the keys.

Nobody can teach someone how to be grittier and it is even hardest to test about grit at start. But there is one thing people can see about grit is that, at the end of the day, at the darkest of the night. Do you give up or not.
